Description: Tove is a Finnish biographical drama film about the artist Tove Jansson, directed by Zaida Bergroth and written by Eeva Putro. The film peeks into Jansson’s life between the war and the mid-1950s. The film had a budget of €3.4 million, making it the second most expensive film in Finland after 2017’s Unknown Soldier.

Tove premiered on 2 October 2020. It was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2020. In October 2020, Tove was sold abroad to over 50 countries, including other Nordic countries, the Baltic States, Russia, South Korea, Germany, and Japan.

Tove was Finland’s nominee for the Best International Oscar 2021, winning the Jussi Award for Best Picture at the 2021 Jussi Awards and seven awards. It also had the most nominations, with ten. In addition to Best Picture, Tove won awards for directing, acting, cinematography, costume design, make-up and set design. Eeva Putro won the Sylvi Award for Best Screenplay for her screenplay in 2021.

Description: Christmas Comes to Moominvalley is a 2D animated feature film (6 minutes) written by Eeva Putro based on Tove Jansson’s novel The Spruce, as part of The Nordic Christmas Hour that was released in 2022 across the Nordics – in Finland by YLETV2. The programme featured six animation films based on the work of famous Nordic storytellers from Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.

In 2021, Eeva Putro was shortlisted for the nomination for the best female supporting role for Robert Price, which is the Danis equivalent of the Oscars for her role of Nika.

Description: Elf Academy is a beloved Christmas TV series produced by Kaiho Productions and distributed by YLE.

The Elf Academy is the story of the country’s premier Christmas elf school, where a troll has slipped into the classroom among the new students. The troll must convince herself and others that she is a Christmas elf and unite a disparate class of elves to reach Santa Claus, who could fix her broken tail. Eeva Putro appeared in the series as the lovable elf character Kaardemumma in 24 episodes.
